The Carmel Police Department will provide the lucky winner with 2 hours of firearm instruction at their computerized indoor range with functional moving and stationary targets. A firearms instructor will demonstrate the proper use of shooting a firearm, training and handling of a firearm, and allow you to run through a police qualification course. Also provided is a 4-hour ride-along with an officer, which is a great experience for someone interested in learning about police work, the types of calls they respond to, criminal and drug activity they can encounter, various enforcement programs and the service they provide that makes this department unique from other law enforcement agencies. Enjoy lunch with the Chief while learning about some of his experiences working in law enforcement, the history of the Carmel Police Department, and some of the current community, local, and state issues facing the department and the impact on our community. This experience is a great opportunity to meet the Chief and members of the Carmel Police Department while learning about the law enforcement profession.
